She was taken suddenly ill on Wednesday and on Saturday it was learned that an operation was necessary and she was removed to the sanitarium for that purpose. Deceased was born at Mifflin, Juniata county and was a daughter of Orin and Catherine Leech. She was aged about 60 years. Her husband, John Cree, preceded her to the grave some years ago. Mrs. Cree was a member of the Methodist church and was a good wife and mother. For the past several years she had resided at Shawtown with some of her children. She is survived by eight children as follows: Jesse H., Cloyd, John F. Daniel R., and home; Harry and Samuel of Huntingdon, Charles and Mrs. Rhoda Van Derweeler of Katamazoo, Mich., also by three brothers, Elmer E., John G. and Irwin Leech of Mifflin. Additional Comments: A daughter of should be Orrin and Catherine (Dill) Leech. Also, I believe Mary Melinda Leech Cree was born on April 16, 1864 or 1865.
