Betty Jean DuBois

Betty Jean DuBois, 86, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:24 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 22,
2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 8, 1937, in Burnham, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and
Lillian B. (Knepp) Bleyer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Specht,
and sisters, Shirley and Donna Bleyer.
Betty is survived by: husband, Luther Franklin “Frank” DuBois Jr., whom she married
Aug. 5, 1960; four children, Patricia Swailes-DuBois, of Mifflintown, David DuBois,
Daniel DuBois, and Bertha DuBois, all of Lewistown and seven siblings, Harold
“Butch” Bleyer and John Bleyer, both of Lewistown, David Bleyer, of Mifflintown,
Ronald Bleyer, of Elizabethtown, Phyllis Snyder, and Gary Bleyer, both of
Mifflintown, and Tim Bleyer of York.
She served in the U.S. Army as a registered nurse.
She was a member of Parkview Church of the Brethren.
Internment in the Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown
