  John Evans, father of Rev. W. W. Evans, D.D., well known in Methodist 
circles, was buried at Lewistown yesterday, Rev. D. S. Monroe D.D., and eleven 
other ministers being in attendance at the funeral service.  Mr. Evans was the 
oldest member of the M. E. church in Lewistown, and perhaps in the Central 
Pennsylvania conference.  Had he lived until March 7 he would have been 93.  
He resided in Lewistown 73 years, and was 70 years a member of the church.
