Nancy J. Foose, 89, of Tuscarora, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, with her
family beside her at the home of her grandson, Randy Foose, in Mifflin.
Born Dec. 15, 1934 in Van Dyke, she was one of 11 children of the late John Edward
and Viola (Reed) Bowen. Her husband, Harry H. Foose, Sr. whom she married Feb. 10,
1950, passed away on Feb. 23, 1990.
“Gram” as she was known to family and friends, is survived by five children, Harry
H. “Herb” Foose, Jr. of Mifflintown, Michael E. Foose of McAlisterville, Fred A.
Foose of Port Royal, Cindy J. Horning of McAlisterville, and Jerry L. Foose of Port
Royal.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Scott
Foose and Steven Foose, and four sisters and six brothers, making her the last of
her generation.
Interment will be in New Church Hill Cemetery.
