Gerald E. “Butch” Ford, Jr., 75 of Newport, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his
home.
Born July 16, 1947, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Gerald E. and Geraldine
E. (Barton) Ford, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon (Perry) Ford, whom he married Dec.
31, 1966; five children, Michele Auxt (Gary), of Duncannon, Patricia Hostler (Arch),
of Newport, Lynette Yohn (Tim), of Mifflintown, Jonathan Ford, of Newport and Pat
Ford, of Newport, eight grandchildren, Scott Hostler (Emily), Victoria Williams
(Lamar), Nicole Hostler, Shania Graybill (Zack), Aimee Yohn, Ashley Yohn, Skyler
Robinson (Maverick) and Luke Auxt and one great-granddaughter, Aubree Williams.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Carson.
Butch was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from March of 1966
to March of 1970.
Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery Mifflintown
