Fultz, 88, of Arch Rock, Mifflintown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his home. Born Dec. 13, 1934 in Naginey, Mifflin Co., he was the son of the late Adam W. and Mary (Wagner) Fultz. His beloved wife, of 51 years, Linda (Worrall) Fultz, whom he married Oct. 28, 1966, died on Jan. 3, 2018. He is survived by three children, Kristina and husband, Thomas Rudy Jr., of Mifflintown, Gabriel A.D. Fultz and wife, Megan, of Taiwan, and Lucas A.M. Fultz and wife, Ericka, of Mifflintown, two granddaughters, Kristalyn and husband, Randal Yorks Jr., and Tiffany and husband, Curtis McKnight, two great-grandchildren, Colton McKnight and Addison Yorks, and three siblings, Athelia Specht, of Lewistown, Charles Fultz, of Reedsville, and Bertha Pennepacker, of Belleville. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Sylvia “Sis” Cherry, George Fultz, Nicholas Fultz, Helen “Babe” Zimmerman, Hilda Elder, Rebecca Burd, and Marian Fultz in infancy. Sherman served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a budget analyst for Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg for 33 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood. He was a genuine, caring person who was loved by his family, his friends, and the community. His family was the most important thing in his life. He will be missed by many. There will be a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 24, at Lighthouse Community Church, 1578 Cedar Springs Road, Mifflintown with Pastor Jimmy Niemond officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown where full military honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
