Miss Elizabeth Frankhouser of Wayne Township, who a short time ago went to live as a domestic with the family of J. R. Carmon in Huntingdon, died on Monday Oct 20, from the effect of inhaling gas. She had gotten up early Monday morning to preapre breakfast for one of the family who was going hunting, after which she retired to her room and found uncounscious condition. Dr. Myers and daughter were summonded and worked with her until some time in the afternoon at which time she died. She was nearly twenty years of age. Her body was brought to her father's house near Newton Hamilton. Transcribers Notes: Transcribed exactly as the newspaper clipping from a Mt. Union area newspaper. I am not related to Elizabeth Frankhouser or J. R. Carmon. I found this clipping in an old family bible. The year of death was not noted, however the back side of the clipping has a reference to Teddy Roosevelt.
