L. Joyce (Hostler) Hack
Aug 5, 2023
L. Joyce (Hostler) Hack, 92, of Mexico, passed away at Locust Grove Retirement
Village on August 3, 2023, from complications of heart failure.
Born June 30, 1931, in Beale Township, she was the daughter of the late David and
Lillian (Kauffman) Hostler. She was the last of her immediate family, having been
preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Hosler, Charlotte Foster, Wilma Yocum, and
Betty Brackbill, and four brothers, Homer Hostler, Jack Hostler, Russell Hostler,
and Robert Hostler.
On May 5, 1951, she married Robert G. (Bob) Hack, who preceded her in death on May
29, 2015. 
Surviving children: Nancy Greene, Jersey Shore, Gerald “Butch”Hack, Mexico, Gary
Hack, McAlisterville; Bonnie Imes, Port Royal, Brian Hack, Mexico, Cynthia Hack,
Mexico, Bradley Hack, Port Royal, and Jo Ellen Shearer, Montoursville. 
Joyce was a member of the Mexico Presbyterian Church, Mexico,
Interment in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown.
