William E. “Mort” Harlan
June 4, 2023
William Edward (Mort) Harlan, 62, of Mifflin, passed away on June 3, 2023.
He was born on June 21,1960 in Lewistown, Mifflin County.
Mort was the son of the late William and Gladys (Campbell) Harlan.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Woods and her husband, Kevin and his one
grandson, Waylon. He is also survived by his one sister, Leta Fry and her husband,
Gary of Shermans Dale and one brother, Roger L. Harlan and wife, Emma of Port
Royal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and
James Harlan.
He enjoyed racing street stocks at Port Royal Speedway, with nineteen trips to
victory lane and two championships. He loved classic cars, especially his 1967
mustang he fully restored. He had a great love of the outdoors and especially loved
hunting and fishing.
Above all else, his greatest joy was his time spent with family and friends.
Interment will follow at East Waterford Cemetery.
