Carol L. Hayes, 75, of Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on
Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Feb. 25, 1948, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Glenn H. and Alma
R. (Krepps) Rhodes.
Her husband, Larry “Max” Hayes Sr., whom she married Sept. 19, 1970, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Tammy L. McMullen and husband, Paul, of Mifflintown;
a son, Larry M. Hayes Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Belleville; five siblings, Gene C.
Rhodes and wife, Patricia, of Spring Run, Barry L. Rhodes, of Houtzdale, Pamela S.
Schreiner and husband, Michael, of Lititz, Daryl E. Rhodes and wife, Patty, of
McVeytown, Linda A. Kratzer, of McVeytown; two grandchildren, Glenn E. McMullen,
Megan F. Martin and husband, Korey; and one great grandson, Bentley K. Martin.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Gary and Roy Rhodes.
She retired from Raystown Development Services and was previously employed at Tom
Leonard Fire Restoration.
Carol enjoyed playing bingo and loved time spent with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at
Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown. Interment will be in Pine
Glen Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the funeral
home.
