Lavonne A. Hockenberry, 86, formerly of Mifflin, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023,
at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown, surrounded by her
family.
Born Dec. 1, 1936, in Mill Creek, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late
William Baer and Gladys (Long) Varner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee V. Moore,
Charles Lyter, and Bruce Hockenberry; a daughter, Deborah Young; brothers, Gerald
Arnold and Eddie Arnold; and her sister, Flo Ann Arnold.
She is survived by: five children, Brenda Bumgardner and husband, Donald, of
Burnham, Dennis Moore and wife, Cindy, of Pottstown, Daniel Moore, of Lewistown,
David Moore and companion, Rachel Ritter, of Lewistown, and Dorothy Patrick and
husband, Frank, of Upland; and a brother, William Arnold, of Calif.
Interment at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown
