Mrs. Edward Hall, who with her husband lived here for several years, died in South Africa two weeks after she joined her husband there. Mr. Hall went from McVeytown to the gold fields of South Africa in the vicinity of Johannesburg in the employ of the "industrial Compressed Air Drill Co.," where he has since made a great deal of money. Mrs. Hall's death was the result of continued sea sickness during the long voyage which she undertook against the advice of her physician in England. She had many friends in this vicinity who remember her as a refined and intelligent lady, and Mr. Hall, who was also highly respected in this community, has the sympathy of many friends in the great loss he has sustained. Democrat and Sentinel, Lewistown, Thursday, February 11, 1897
