John Zook Kauffman Jr.

John Zook Kauffman Jr., 77, of Allensville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at
his home. He was born June 17, 1946, in Belleville, a son of the late John Z.
Kauffman Sr. and Lena (Kurtz) Kauffman.
On Oct. 24, 1967, he married Ella Mae (Hostetler) Kauffman. Ms. Kauffman survives at
their home.
He is survived by his children, John Z. Kauffman III; Maria Groff; Kenneth Kauffman;
David Kauffman; Kelvin Kauffman; Karen Hooper; a brother, Norman Kauffman of
Mayfield, Ky.; two sisters, Julia Miller of Mattawana and Elsie King of
Allensville.
John was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Joy; a son, Robert Lynn; a brother,
Ivan Kauffman and three sisters, Bertha Swarey, Mary Ruth Kauffman and Orpha Joyce
Kauffman.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
