Mary L. Kauffman, 82, of Mt. Union, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024 at
UPMC-Altoona Hospital.
Born Dec. 28, 1941 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Martha
(Brenneman) McCartney Sr. Her husband, Samuel J. Kauffman Jr., whom she married Oct.
25, 1961, preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2018.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Wilbur McCartney Jr., Robert
McCartney, Carl McCartney, and Ron McCartney.
Surviving are: five children, Ronald Ruby, of Huntingdon, Robyn Lantz, of
Huntingdon, Carolyn Snook of Lewistown, Glenda Kauffman, of Lewistown, D. Jeannie
McCartleof Lewistown; seven siblings, Donald McCartney, of Mt. Union, Jack McCartney
of Mt. Union, Nancy Knable, of Newton Hamilton, Connie Forshey, of Shirleysburg,
Helen Heffner, of Huntingdon, Daniel McCartney of Mill Creek, Susan Martin, of Mt.
Union.
Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
