Karen A. (McClellan) Knarr, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Rolling
Hills Manor in Millmont. She was the wife of the late Jeremiah J. “Jack” Knarr until
his passing in 2010.
Born on Feb. 23, 1935, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Irene
(Hudson) McClellan. Karen loved spending time with all her grandchildren. She was
also an avid animal lover.
Karen is survived by her children, Patricia Knarr and Jack Knarr, Sr.;
grandchildren, Jeremy and wife, Janelle, and Justin and wife, Brandie; 11 great
grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents,
Karen is preceded in death by daughter, Carol Shirk, and grandchildren, Jack Jr.,
Carrie, and Ashley.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Rolling Hills Manor and Hospice of
Evangelical for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at King-Barr
Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.
with Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Juniata Memorial
Park.
