Joseph Knepp, who for the past nine years has made his home with his nephew, William A. Moore, of 247 East Tenth street, died after a short illness Sunday morning at 12.30 o'clock of pneumonia. The deceased was born near McVeytown, Mifflin county, August 27, 1822, and at death was aged 77 years, 6 months and 12 days. Mr. Knepp was never married, and up to the time he came to Tyrone and made his home with his nephew he followed farming as an occupation. He is survived by two brothers and one sister, viz: William and Albert Knepp, of Lewistown, Pa., and Mrs. Sarah Lukens, of Mt. Union. Funeral services will be held at his late home to-morrow morning at 10.30 o'clock, to be conducted by his pastor, Rev. Albert J. Weisley, after which the remains will be taken to this station and placed on board main line express at 12.03 and conveyed to McVeytown and deposited in the Mattawana cemetery at that place.
