Elizabeth Louise ‘Betty’ McCartney

Elizabeth Louise “Betty” McCartney, 100 of Greenwood Village, Lewistown, passed away
at 7:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born May 11, 1923, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary
(Ascione) Attivo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K.
“Dick” McCartney, Dec. 21, 2004; three brothers, Ralph, Albert, and Joseph Attivo;
four sisters, Rose Palmeri, Anne Attivo, Thelma Attivo, and Helen Dixon.
Betty is survived by: children, R. Daniel McCartney of Lewistown, Kathy Shively of
Shippensburg, and Timothy A. McCartney, of Mechanicsburg.
Interment in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville
