DOROTHY H. MATEER

  Mrs. Mateer, 72, of Newton Hamilton died at 8:29 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1992, 
at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.  
  She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Kistler, the daughter of Albert and Elsie 
(Dull) Claycomb.  She married Homer Mateer.  He preceded her in death.
  Surviving are five children: Carol Bowers and Harold Thomas Claycomb of 
Altoona, Gary Gartland of Mount Union RD, Bonnie Getz of Mapleton and Joyce 
Gartland of Newton Hamilton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  Also surviving are a sister and brother: Ann Lane of Three Springs and Roy of 
Mount Union.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Robert D. Heath 
Funeral Home, Mount Union.
