Miller, wife of Mr. John Miller, departed this life at her home on the North Ridge, Saturday July 9. Mrs. Miller was born in Snyder County, Pa. March 23rd, 1819; came to Ohio in 1865 and to Clyde in 1870. For the past five months she suffered from spasmodic asthma, which finally culminated in paralysis of the heart. Deceased was a member of the U. B. Church, and died with firm belief in the Christian faith. Funeral services were held at the residence; about one mile from Clyde, at half-past two o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. E. Hill. The funeral was well attended, and a large number of friends paid a farewell tribute of respect by accompanying the bereaved family in their sad journey to the last resting place of their loved one in the Ellsworth Cemetery. A husband and children are left to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and mother. They have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement, and they desire in return to tender their sincerest thanks to the neighbors and friends who manifested so much genuine kindness and such a spirit of helpfulness during the time of their affliction. Clyde Enterprise, Sandusky County, Ohio, July 14, 1887, page 3, column 3 Additional Comments: Julia Ann Hassinger was first married to George McClenathan 1808-1848. She then married John W. Miller.
