Moffett at Avenel, New Jersey were held from the Flynn Funeral Home at Perth Amboy, New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon. The services were in charge of the Rev. James McKenzie, pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Avenel, and burial was made in the Clover Leaf Park Memorial Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Jersey. Mr. Moffett was born at Arch Springs, Pa., on Dec 9, 1873, a son of the late Sylvester and Maria (Sanders) Moffett. He was married to Adaline M. "Ada" Bollinger in 1900 [1905, Huntingdon County, Pa.] and she died in 1916 [July 6, 1916]. Four sons survive, namely Harold L. Moffett of Avenel, Richard E. Moffett of Monterey, California, W. Clarence Moffett [William Clarence] of Lewistown R.D. #3, and Gerald S. Moffett of McVeytown R.D. Also are a brother Elmer of Mapleton Depot, two sisters Mrs. John (Carrie) Bonsel of Tyrone and Mrs. George (Alice) Morder of Mount Union, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Moffett was a former employee of the brick plants at both Mount Union and Hawstone.
