LOUISA (CLARK) MOLSON (1818 - November 12, 1884)

Died.

MOLSON - Louisa, the beloved wife of John Molson, at her residence, Wednesday 
night at 9 p.m. aged 66, funeral from the A.M.E. church, Friday 3 p.m., Nov. 
14th.

     It is the sad duty of the writer, to chronicle the death of an old, and 
much respected resident of this village.  At nine o'clock Wednesday eve Mrs. 
John Molson passed away peacefully; three years ago she was stricken ill with 
paralysis but partially recovered.  Sunday last she was again stricken down 
never to recover.  This has been a month very sacred to both Mr. and Mrs. 
Molson, it being the month of their birth, marriage and Mrs. Molson's death.  
In the year 1844 she experienced a change of heart; Had she lived till the 20th 
of November, they would have celebrated their 48th anniversary of marriage.  In 
all her dealings she was upright and conscientious, doing all the good that lay 
in her power.  We deeply sympathise with Mr. Molson and his sons, in their 
terrible affliction.  A true devoted wife and loving tender mother has passed 
away into the bright glories beyond, never to return, but whom they shall see 
when the last trump shall wake the sleeping dead, and, where all shall meet 
never to part, but shall be reunited where all is perfect peace, and unalloyed 
bliss.

Louisa Molson, 66, wife of John Molson formerly of Lewistown, died at Madison, 
New York.  They would have celebrated their 48th anniversary on November 20, 
1884.  She died on November 12, 1884.  (See article in Lewistown Gazette - 
11/26/84, p2,6c.)
