Edward M. “Ed” Mayes Sr., 80, of Mifflintown, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024
at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Mifflintown.
Born July 17, 1943 in Granville Twp., Mifflin County, he is a son of Albert “Bert”
and Dolly (Shade) Mayes who preceded him in death. On Oct. 6, 1962, he married Janet
L. (Stover) Mayes, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward Mayes, Jr. of
Mifflintown and Donald Mayes of McAlisterville and two sisters, Glenda O’Donnell of
Milroy and Marjorie Kauffman of Lewistown.
Interment will follow in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
