Darl L. “Pete” Pecht, 92, of Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June
8, 2023, at his home.
Born Feb. 15, 1931, in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Hazel P.
(Kauffman) Pecht. 
His wife, Velma A. (Grassmyer) Pecht, whom he married April 9, 1955, preceded him in
death on April 4, 2023.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, William “Bill” Pecht, Wilbur “Dick”
Pecht, and Ronald “Snip” Pecht.
Surviving are: five children, Jeffrey A. Pecht and wife, Dana, of McVeytown, Debra
J. Mianulli, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Brian J. Pecht and companion, Michele
Orwig, of Lewistown, Lisa A. Sunderland and companion, Paul Crater, of Mattawana, D.
Brent Pecht and wife, Connie, of Lewistown; a brother, Robert L. “Pork” Pecht and
wife, Patricia, of McVeytown. 
A Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War in both Japan and
Korea.
Pete was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church
