Phyllis M. Pellman, 86, of Mifflintown, passed away peacefully at 11:44 a.m. on
Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 19, 1937, in Bunkertown, Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late
Palmer M. Shellenberger and Juniata J. (Schell) Shellenberger Querry.
On May 29, 1954, she married her late husband, Lester E. “Bushy” Pellman.
She is survived by her children, Deborah K. Teufel of Campbelltown, Gregory E.
Pellman of McClure, Robert C. Pellman of Arch Rock, and Anthony L. Pellman of
McClure; siblings, Robert Shellenberger of Thompsontown, Palmer W. Shellenberger of
Carlisle, and Kay I. Lukens and her husband, Harold of McAlisterville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters,
Marian E. Strawser, Helen I. Sellers, and Carol R. Waite; and two brothers, C.
Richard “Dusty” Shellenberger and Danny D. Shellenberger.
Interment in Richfield Union Cemetery.
