A Veteran Dead.

Special to the Tribune.
  Lewistown, Feb. 19. - Alvin B. Parker, 73 years ago, is dead here 
from hernia.  Deceased was a veteran of the Civil war, serving in 
company G, One hundred and Thirty-first Pennsylvania volunteers, also a 
veteran of the Pennsylvania railroad service, having been in the employ 
of the company in a clerical capacity at Broad Street station, 
Philadelphia, for many years.
