Peters The funeral services of George W. Peters were held Wednesday after noon at his late residence, 155 Valley Street. Rev. Dr. M. S. Cressman, of ?hetating. The impressive service of the Masonic Order completed the services at the cemetery. The pall bearers were W. F. Eckhert, H. C. Baurkett, Aaron K. Andrews. Stewart M. Peters, Arthur S. Warner and S. T. Allison, Frank H. Peters and daughter Miss Carolyn of Hayman, N. Jersey, Misses Chrissie, Marie, Carrie, Gertrude and Verna Peters. Mrs. Anna Cummings, and Frank C. Long of Philadelphia attended the funeral. Mr. Peters became a member of the Masonic Lodge, Nov 8, 1859, being a member of this illustrious and ancient order for 59 years. In 1914, in view of the fact of his being the oldest member in point of membership the __ Lodge presented him with a handsome solid gold ring bearing the insignia of the Order as a testimonial of his long and loyal membership. In 1906 he was also placed on the Honor Roll of the Fame Fire Engine Company for long and faithful services rendered over a period of fifty years. Buried in St. Mark's Cemetery, Lewistown, Pa. Obit in D. Sun 13 Oct 1918 GEORGE W. PETERS, one of Lewistown's oldest and best know citizens suffered a stroke yesterday afternoon while standing in the back yard of his home, 155 Valley Street. He was seen to topple forward and vital spark had fled before his side was reached by members of his family, death being instantaneous. Mr. Peters was preceded in death by that of his wife, Louisa Nettie on Saturday Sept 28th last. He is survived by one son and eight daughters, Frank H. Peters Bayonne NJ; Miss Dora at home, Miss Chrissie, Marie, Carrie, Gertrude and Verna Peters and Mrs. Anna Cummings of Philadelphia and Mrs. H. Clark (Bessie Long of 155 Valley). Three grandchildren, Caroline H. Peters of Bayonne, Frank C. Long of Philadelphia and M. Luther Long of 155 Valley Street are also living. Mr. Peters was the city's oldest fireman being an honored member of the Fame Company. He was born on July 30, 1836, being in his 83rd year. He was a consistent member of St. John's Lutheran church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Funeral Services Wednesday afternoon at 2:20 Rev. M. S. Peters Mrs. Louise Nettie (Letterman) Peters, wife of George W. Peters passed peacefully away Saturday evening, 7:12 o'clock at her home, 155 Valley Street aged 74 years, 4 months and 5 days. She is survived by her husband and one son and eight daughters, Frank H. Peters, Bayonne, N. J. Miss Dora at home, Misses Chrissie, Marie, Carrie, Gertrude and Verna Peters and Mrs. Anna Cummings of Philadelphia, and Mrs. H. Clark (Bessie) Long of 155 Valley Street. One brother, George W. Letterman, resides at Yeagertown. Three grandchildren, Caroline M. Peters of Bayonne; Frank C. Long of Philadelphia and M. Luther of 155 Valley Street, are also living. Mrs. Peters was a faithful, consistent member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewistown, for many years. She was good, kind and devoted mother and neighbor and a liberal contributor to many worthy causes. For years she suffered from delicate and failing health. Her death followed a stroke of paralysis with which she was stricken last October. Her funeral services will be held at her late residence, Wednesday fore noon, 10:30 o'clock, Rev M. S. Cressman, D.D. officiating, interment will be made in the Yeagertown Cem. Funeral for Mrs. Peters The funeral services of Mrs. George W.
