CDR. Dean T. Rodgers, USN Ret.

CDR. Dean T. Rodgers, USN Ret., 92, passed away in his sleep on the morning of Nov.
10, 2023. He was born on Oct. 4, 1931 in Milroy, Pa., the only child, to the late
Mary Elizabeth and John Phillip Rodgers.
He spent 28 years in the Navy as a Naval Aviator. He got his Aviator wings in
January 1955. 
He met his wife on a blind date in Pensacola, Fla., on Feb. 4, 1954, then married on
Dec. 17, 1955.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Viola Vickey Coburn Rodgers; two
sons, Glenn Daniel Rodgers (Kathy) of Virginia Beach, and Rodney Dean Rodgers of
Stafford, Va.; one daughter, Janice Marie Rodgers Copeland of Virginia Beach.
Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
