Frederick E. Schaaf, Jr., 84, of Reedsville, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023,
at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. He was the loving husband of Theresa A. (Lewis)
Schaaf.
Born on Sept. 14, 1938, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Pauline (Wagner) and
Frederick E. Schaaf, Sr. Frederick worked at Noerr’s for 27 years as a truck driver.
He then went on to work as a bus driver throughout Mifflin County for 14 years
before retiring. Frederick loved lighthouses and owned many lighthouse models.
Including his wife, Frederick is survived by his daughters, Christine McClellan and
husband, Charles, of Bellefonte, and Kathleen Mowery and husband, Michael, of
Reedsville; grandchildren, Jessica Foster and husband, Edward, and Lauren Amspacker
and husband, Nicholas, and great grandchildren, Stella Foster and Madelyn
Amspacker.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at
Reedsville Lutheran Church, 200 E. Logan Street, Reedsville. The memorial service
will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Carla Volland and Pastor Danny Neff officiating. A
meal will be provided after the service at the church. King-Barr Funeral Home LLC is
in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Reedsville Lutheran
