Shirley Arlene (Hockenberry) Schlegel, 87, of Mifflintown, passed away on Wednesday,
Feb. 28, 2024, at 4:17 a.m. at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born Oct. 22, 1936 in Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Guy M. and
Arlene (Bland) Hockenberry.
She was married on June 28, 1959 to her husband, Carl L. Schlegel, who preceded her
in death on Feb. 13, 2000.
She is survived son, Carl Jr. “Sonny” Schlegel of Mifflintown.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister,
Mary E. Whitsel.
Interment in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
