Donald W. Sheets Sr.
October 20, 2023
Donald W. Sheets, Sr., 84, of Mifflin, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at
Hershey Medical Center.
Born Nov. 24, 1938, in Nook, he was a son of the late Lloyd Foster and Bessie
(McKinley) Sheets.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Lahr) Sheets, four children, Dr. Donald Sheets,
Jr., Cathy Russell, Phillip Sheets, and Heather Sheets.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Timothy Sheets, Floyd Sheets, Roy Sheets,
and Walter “Brownie” Sheets, one sister, Sara Louise Varnes.
He joined the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served for 27 years. 
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook
