Eric D. Shilling Sr., 45, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 3,
2023, at his home.
Born June 10, 1977, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late James D. Shilling, and
Geraldine (Bender) Shilling. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by
his biological mother, Peggy (Shilling) Davis. He was also preceded in death by
siblings, Mary Shilling, Connie Mowry, and James Shilling, Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Eric Shilling, Jr., of
Lewistown; siblings, Mark Shilling, and Todd Shilling and wife, Susan, all of
Alfarata, Mandy Shilling, of Lewistown, and Keith Davis, Jr., of Reedsville.
Eric loved watching all kinds of sports, especially NASCAR. He also enjoyed
attending races at Port Royal Speedway. He was a member of The 1995-1996 Lewistown
Area Highschool boys basketball team that won the Mountain League, where he was an
integral part of the team as an outstanding three point shooter.
Details of service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street,
Lewistown.
