Robert D. “Bob” Smith, 93, of Lewistown,passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024.
Born Aug. 27, 1930, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late J. Albert Smith, Sr.
and Doris A. (Bryan) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in
death by his siblings, Camelia Lose, J. Albert Smith Jr., Orlando B. Smith, Doris E.
Capparelle, Barbara R. Shultz, and his infant brother, Lee Smith.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Barbara J. (Wance) Smith, whom he married on
Jan. 22, 1957, his daughter Karen Cramer, of Lewistown, daughter Kimberly Ryan
Smith, of Indiana, Pa., sister Mary Reid, of N.Y.  and brother Fred Smith of
Bellefonte,.
Robert proudly served his country in the US Navy from June 1948 to June 1952, during
the Korean Conflict, aboard the USS Roanoke CL-145.
