Robert George Steele, Sr., 91, of Lewistown, passed away at 3:23 p.m., Sunday, July
31, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 26, 1932, in Saxton, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Lloyd E.
and Almeda (Edwards) Steele.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by: a daughter, Kimbra Lee
Steele, in infancy and siblings, Elsie Grace Kauffman, Dorothy Wolfe, Patricia
Bingaman, and Roy Steele.
Robert is survived by: his wife, Carmen C. (Turner) Steele; five children, Bonnie
Englehart, of Cowan, Robert G. Steele Jr. of Milford, Ct., Daniel M. Steele, of
Lewistown, Dan’Elle R. Steele, of Lewistown, and Darrell T. Steele of McClure; a
sister, Betty Snook, of Lewistown.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict.
Robert was a member of Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA)
Church.
Burial in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown
