Lester W. Stroup
Aug 21, 2023
Lester W. Stroup, 81, of Richfield, passed away at 1:51 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18,
2023, after a brief stay at Richfield Senior Living Center.
Born on Jan. 24, 1942, in Evendale, Juniata County, he is the son of the late Warren
E. and Elsie (Naylor) Stroup.
On Dec. 23, 1961, he married Geraldine “Gerry” (Leitzel) Stroup, with whom he was
blessed to share over 58 years of marriage before her passing on Feb. 26, 2020.
He is survived by his children, Michael Stroup of Richfield, Rodney Stroup of Mount
Pleasant Mills, and Matthew Stroup of Port Royal; brothers, Glenn Stroup and Richard
Stroup both of Richfield.
Mr. Stroup was a member of Brown’s United Methodist Church in McAlisterville.
Interment in Browns United Methodist Cemetery, Cocolamus.
