Melvin H. Sweitzer, Jr., 76, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at
William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 23, 1946, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Melvin H. Sr. and
Mildred (Frankhouser) Sweitzer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in
death by his sisters, Vonnie Sweitzer and Peggy Burke.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife Dawn (Zimmerman) Sweitzer, whom he married on
May 23, 1966; his son, Melvin E. Sweitzer, of Lewistown; and sister, Mary Anne
Heisey, of Lewistown.
Melvin honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Army.
He attended Granville United Methodist Church.
