Susan D. Thompson, 90, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, July 27,
2023, at Capital Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Harrisburg. Born and raised in
Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha (Knox) Ryan.
She and her late husband, Giff, were longtime members of Baughman Church, New
Cumberland 
Surviving are her children, Gifford W. Thompson III of Harrisburg, Pamela Ellsesser
of Harrisburg and Timothy Thompson of Hamburg, NY; a sister, Annette Valdespino of
West Palm Beach, FL
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gifford W.
Thompson Jr.; as well as 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Entombment in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill
