Taylor and Newton Hamilton's oldest resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Ewing, Thursday morning after a long illness. Born at Newton Hamilton, July 14, 1861, she was a daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Rodgers. She was married June 20, 1883. Mr. Taylor died 29 years ago. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Methodist church and Lady Hamilton Rebekah lodge. Surviving are a son, Clarence Taylor of Altoona; a daughter, Mrs. Lorma Ewing; a grandson, William G. Anders of Highspire, Pa., and a brother, John R. Rodgers, of Altoona. Friends will be received at the Ewing home at Newton Hamilton. Altoona Mirror, Friday, July 23, 1948, page 12
