Glenda E. Varner, 74, of Orbisonia, and formerly of Lewistown, died Thursday, May 4,
2023, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 15, 1949, at Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Esther
(Murphy) Glunt.
She is survived by three children, Dewayne Varner and wife, Pamela, of Altoona,
Yvonne Hathaway, of Lehighton, and Nathan Varner and wife, Shanna, of Mifflintown.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and six
siblings, Wendell Glunt, of Shade Gap, Clifford Glunt, of McConnellsburg, Leriwyn
Glunt, of McConnellsburg, Darrel Glunt, of Shade Gap, Charlene Mitchell, of Enola
and Marlene Stull, of Gettysburg.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucinda Varner, one grandson, four
brothers, Dale Glunt, Loraine Glunt, Lloyd Glunt and Galen Glunt and one sister,
Donna Faye Glunt.
Ms. Varner was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Lewistown, and the former Shade
Gap Bible Church.
Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA.
