William Walter Weaver Jr.

William Walter Weaver Jr., 96, of McClure, passed away at 5 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30,
2023, at Celebration Villa of Reedsville.
Born Nov. 13, 1927, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William W. Sr. and
Margaret C. (Tuttle) Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: wife, Peggy M. (Mauery)
Weaver; a son, Thomas D. Weaver.
William is survived by: children, Peggy E. Davis of Renovo, William M. Weaver of
McClure, and Jon D. Weaver of Shunk, brothers, Ronald Weaver, of McClure, and Donald
Weaver, of McClure.
William was a U.S. Army veteran assigned to Company A, 26th Infantry, from Jan. 1946
to July 1947 as a heavy machine gunner. He served overseas during the Nuremberg War
Treaty.
Interment at Mount Rock Cemetery.
