Charles W. “Bob” Weiand, 93, formerly of Thompsontown, passed on Tuesday, April 2,
2024, at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg.
Born Oct. 7, 1930 in Granville Township, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late
Ralph and Edna (Goss) Weiand.
He is survived by his wife, Joan A. (Bardell) Weiand, of Mechanicsburg, whom he
married April 10, 1954, three children, Cathy J. Lyne of Mechanicsburg, Gene R.
Weiand of Mechanicsburg and Leslie S. Weiand of Dillsburg and three sisters, Arlene
Teel of Kansas, Iris Wilson of Manheim, and Sandra Summers of Lewistown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ralphetta
Schlegel and two brothers, Fred Weiand and Gary Weiand.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from Nov. of 1953 to Nov.
of 1955.
Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mifflintown.
