James Richard Wheeler

James Richard Wheeler, 93, formerly of Burnham, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16,
2023, peacefully at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1929, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late James A. and Ruth L.
(Hunter) Wheeler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, J. Arlene (Kreps)
Wheeler, whom he married Aug. 7, 1949; and brothers, Wallace R. Wheeler, and Joseph
W. Wheeler.
James is survived by, children, Beverly A. Muckel, of Lewistown, Sharon L. Depew, of
Mifflintown, James L. Wheeler, of VA., Carol A. Mater, of Lewistown; and a sister,
Ruth L. Nichols, of Lewistown.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mifflintown.
James served with the United States Army occupation force in Germany from
1952-1954.
Interment in Juniata Memorial Park.
