Merle A. Wertz, Sr.
Jun 9, 2023
Merle A. Wertz, Sr., 76, of Lewistown, passed away at his residence on Thursday,
June 8, 2023. He was the loving husband of Mary C. (Auman) Wertz for 30 years.
Born on July 6, 1946, he was a son of the late Howard and Ruth (Knepp) Wertz.
For several years, he proudly served in the National Guard.
In addition to his beloved wife, Merle is survived by his children, Bobette Myers
and husband, Daryl, of Aaronsburg, Merle A. Wertz, Jr. and wife, April, of Pleasant
Gap, Tangy Baird and husband, Tony, of Centre Hall, and Nicki Wertz;  sister,
Lucielle Dashem, of Centre Hall
Merle is preceded in death by brothers, Steven and Blair Wertz.
