William H. Wilson
December 29, 2023
William H. Wilson, 98, of Lewistown, passed away December 26, 2023, at Valley View
Retirement Community, Belleville.
Bill was born in Munson, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Lavinia Wilson, and husband
of the late Ruth L. (Woodward) Wilson. 
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by five siblings.
Bill is survived by: daughters; Margaret Sickler of Enterprise, Ala., Ruth W.
Kauffman of Lancaster, and Nancy W. Barouh of Washington, D.C.
Bill joined the U.S. Navy and fought in WWII.  During the course of his service, he
survived four kamikaze attacks on the destroyer U.S.S. Evans in the South Pacific
and witnessed the raising of the American flag at Iwo Jima
Interment at St. Mark’s Community Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown.
