Weiser, an aged and respected citizen of this place, died at his home Friday, Oct. 7, after a lingering illness. Six months ago he was stricken with apoplexy while working in his garden and has been a helpless invalid ever since. His housekeeper had assisted him out into the yard where he suddenly grew worse and with the help of neighbors he was taken in the house and to his bed, where he expired inside of fifteen minutes. Mr. Weiser was a member of the Presbyterian church of this place. He was an industrious, kind, and loving father and lived for many years south of this place at what is known as the ore bank. He had just moved to Belleville three weeks ago. He was the father of six children, Tillie, James and George of Altoona, Robert of Lewistown, Annie of this place, and Salome, (Mrs. Ira Plank.) All were present at the funeral which took place today at 1:30, in St. John's church, conducted by his pastor, Rev. C. O. Anderson. He was laid to rest in the Maple Grove cemetery, beside his wife, who preceded him to the spirit world a few years ago. He was aged 63 years, 2 months and 10 days.
