Sarah E. Yorks, 92, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023
at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.
Born on September 23, 1930, in Fayette Twp., Juniata County, she was a daughter of
the late John E. and Jennie M. (Reichenbach) Swartz. On December 28, 1946, she
married her late husband, Blair E. Yorks, with whom she was blessed to share more
than 67 years of marriage before his passing on March 8, 2014.
Surviving her are her children, John E. Yorks, Sr. and his wife Dorothy, of Mifflin,
Blair M. Yorks, Sr. and his wife Russalee, of Mifflintown, Sara Maxine Mathieu, of
Mifflintown
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings
making her the last of her generation.
Sarah was a member of the McAlisterville United Methodist Church
Interment at the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
