Maxine A. Zook, 71, of Beavertown passed away with her loving husband by her side on
Friday, July 5, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Nov. 27, 1952 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Melvern and Arlene
(Swartz) Barner. On July 8, 1989 she married Leonard R. Zook who survives.
In addition to her husband Leonard, Maxine is survived by a daughter, Lakata Hostler
and one sister, Blanche Riden.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Call and Jerome Mitchell; three brothers,
John, Ron, and Lester Barner and one sister, Vonnie Ridley.
