Reverend Robert L. Zorn Sr.

After battling a leaking, replaced heart valve and a spinal compression fracture for
quite a while; Reverend Robert L. Zorn, 93, of Treaster Valley, died peacefully and
painlessly in his sleep at Geisinger Hospital just after 6 a.m. on May 24, 2024.
Robert was born in early August of 1930 at home on his parent’s dairy and chicken
farm near Dawson, Fayette County, PA. One of seven children (Sidney, Eugene, Frank,
Helen Zorn Moon, Cora Zorn Hugh, Mildred Zorn Hickman) of the late Frank Adam and
Bess (Murtland) Zorn.
He met his wife, Carol Marie (Taylor) Zorn, at Presbyterian Church camp in Laurel
Hill State Park in July 1945. They married on Sept. 5, 1953. The couple had four
children: William Adam, who died at birth and is buried at Tyrone Presbyterian
Church; Robert Lee Jr., living in Mifflinburg, Laurel Beth, living in southern
Missouri, and Paul Logan, living in his parent’s home in Treaster Valley. His wife,
Carol, is currently a resident at Valley View Nursing Home.
The burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Milroy
