Jeffersonian Republican. (Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: January 04, 1866
On Sunday the 24th of December last, Mr. Peter Albert, of Middle Smithfield, ate a
hearty dinner, and about 5 o'clock in the afternoon, directed his wife to give the
hogs some corn, at the same time stated that he did not feel well and would go and
lay down. Shortly after he lay down, the family discovered he was dying. He was
about 77 years old.
