Jeffersonian Republican. (Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: January 27, 1876
On the 11th of December, 1875, at her residence, near Ijamsville, Maryland, Mrs.
Annie Anderson, relict of the late Aden Anderson, Jr., in the 35th year of her age,
leaving an only daughter and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. The
deceased was a daughter of David Smiley, late of Monroe Co., Pa., but from the time
of her marriage was a resident of this county, where she soon won the respect and
esteem of a large circle of admiring friends. Becoming a widow after a brief married
life, her mind seems to have centered on things beyond the present life and to be
fixed on these things that pass not away... After appropriate services at the Church
at Ijamsville, December 13th, her remains were laid beside her husband, far from her
native home, in our own beautiful Mount Olivet.
