(Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: April 27, 1876 In Stroudsburg, Thursday, April 20th, Annie, wife of James Edinger, aged 23 years, 6 mos. and 23 days. Mrs. Edinger was a daughter of Mr. Reuben Singmaster, of Iowa, and a niece of the late Jacob Singmaster, Esq., of this place. She was a most excellent young woman, and had endeared herself to all who had learned to know her in the short time that she lived in our midst. She had to die young but everything had been done to save her that loving hearts and hands and medical skill could do. Mr. Edinger has the sympathy of all in his affliction. She was buried last Sunday afternoon in the Stroudsburg Cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of friends and citizens. Her grave was very beautifully decorated and the Lutheran ceremonies by the Rev. J. Kohler were very appropriate. Peace to her ashes.
